At Recumbent Cycle-Con 2026, Gary Solomon of the Laidback Bike Report stopped by the Falco booth. Rakesh Dhawan walked him through revision three of the Three Wheels of Magic electric trike. Here is what changed, and why.

Two years of rider feedback
We launched the Three Wheels of Magic in September 2024. We learned a lot from that first show and from the test rides that followed. Revision three is the result. Our rule was simple: make it better, and keep the price the same. It is still $2,995.
What is new in revision three
- Stronger, foldable frame. The 4130 chromoly frame has extra support at the front for stability. It now folds, so it fits in an SUV. Rakesh drove it to the show that way.
- Simpler drivetrain. The front triple shifter is gone. There is less to adjust and less to maintain. As Rakesh put it, sometimes less is more.
- Better crank and pedals. A higher-quality front crank and pedals, at no extra cost.
- Upgraded rear suspension. A smoother ride on rough roads.
- Quieter chain line. No more chain tubes. They made noise. The Falco eDrive is a silent direct-drive motor, so the rest of the trike should be quiet too.
- Wrist rests with controls. New wrist rests carry the controls, including a twist-grip throttle for power on demand.
- Bigger mirrors. Large, round, motorcycle-style mirrors so you can see what is behind you.
- Two bottle holders. Our riders go long. Now there is room for two bottles.
- Redesigned assist bars with stronger supports.
Two more notes. We removed the old front fenders because they did not meet our quality bar; new ones are being designed. And the next version, revision four, is planned to add adjustable handlebars.

Why it still costs $2,995
A trike should not cost as much as a car. We now have our own team in India focused on trike design and vehicle dynamics. Building more of the trike ourselves lets us control quality and keep the price down. Many premium electric trikes cost $6,000 or more. See the price comparison.
