The Atlas is one of our heavier duty rims with a boxy profile which provides a classic look while preventing dings to the rim and preventing pinch flats. As the only rim that we eyelet, it looks great on that vintage bike that you're looking to restore! The eyelets give you a smooth surface that works with your spoke nipples to create a wonderful build. Designed with commuting, touring, for heavier riders with heavier loads, and city-riding in mind, it pairs well with so many more applications.The Atlas is typically not machined to leave as much material as possible on the sides of the rim - giving you the longest lasting wear and tear rim brake option that we provide. Rim brakes or disc brakes, this is a great option if you're looking for something stylish that withstands your road miles throughout the year.
A little bit of trivia about the Atlas rim: Our NoBS rim is the same extrusion profile. We just don't eyelet or anodize the NoBS, hence that rim's name - the No B.S.
