Three wheels, no balancing, and help on every hill
The Three Wheels of Magic is an electric recumbent trike built for riders who want to keep cycling: people with balance concerns, people coming back from surgery or injury, and anyone who simply wants a more comfortable, more confident ride. You sit low in a supportive mesh seat, your feet are out front, and you cannot tip over at a stop. The Falco eDrive in the rear wheel adds up to 750 W when you pedal, or moves you with the thumb throttle when you would rather not.

- Falco eDrive 750 W five-phase rear hub motor with built-in controller, torque sensor and speed sensor.
- 400 Wh (36 V, 11.6 Ah) lithium battery and charger. A 48 V, 672 Wh battery upgrade is available at checkout.
- WPM-AIO control with thumb throttle. Bluetooth to the Falco Flash app (iOS and Android).

Why physical therapists like it
Three-wheeled recumbents are widely used in rehabilitation because they are stable, comfortable and easy to get on and off. On the Three Wheels of Magic: there is no risk of a fall at a stop; the reclined seat and backrest take the strain off back, neck and joints; the assist level can be raised or lowered a step at a time as strength returns; and pedaling engages the whole lower body while the upper body steers. Several of our owners ride on the advice of their physical therapist.
What changed for 2026–27
- Drivetrain: from a 3×8 triple to a cleaner 1×10 with a Shimano CUES trigger shifter and a single-ring Prowheel crankset with chainguard. Simpler shifting, no front derailleur to maintain, wider usable range.
- Ride and control: coil-over rear shock with adjustable preload, refined steering with adjustable tie-rod ends, and frame-mounted idler pulleys for a quieter chainline.
- Touchpoints: a locking parking-brake lever, round folding mirrors and sturdier alloy platform pedals with reflectors.
- Unchanged: the 4130 chromoly frame, mesh seat, 160 mm mechanical disc brakes, 20/26-inch wheels and the 750 W Falco eDrive.
The Falco eDrive inside
Falco has built direct-drive electric assist since 2011. The multi-patented five-phase motor delivers about 40% more power than a comparable three-phase motor, freewheels with zero resistance when the assist is off, and regenerates on descents. Every Three Wheels of Magic hub motor carries a five-year warranty. An optional smart trainer stand turns the trike into an indoor trainer that talks to Zwift over Bluetooth, adjusting resistance to the virtual terrain.
