A Three Wheels of Magic story — Nick Tussing, Florida
Living in Florida, you get used to a certain rhythm. Sun, saltwater, the smell of sunscreen in the car. For me, that rhythm has always meant the beach — and the beach has always meant my surfboard.
But rhythms change. Somewhere along the way, the trips got shorter. Loading up, hauling gear, finding parking — it all started adding up in ways it never used to. I wasn't ready to stop going. I just needed a different way to get there.
That's where the Three Wheels of Magic came in.
The First Ride
I'll be honest — when the trike arrived, I wasn't sure what to expect. I've seen plenty of recumbents online, and a lot of them look more complicated than they're worth. But the first time I settled into the seat and pushed off, something clicked. It's smooth. It's stable. And it's comfortable in a way that makes you forget you're on a trike at all.
Within five minutes, I wasn't thinking about the machine. I was just thinking about where I wanted to go next.
Making It Mine
One of the things I've liked most is how much you can customize it. I ended up adding most of what Falco offers:
- Rearview mirrors
- Front and rear LED lighting
- Padded foam seat and backrest
- Exit assist bars
- Ergonomic handrests
- Front fenders
- Rear rack with integrated fender
- Adjustable headrest
Every one of those upgrades pulls its weight. The padded seat alone makes longer rides feel effortless. The exit assist bars make getting on and off easy — something I didn't know I'd appreciate as much as I do. And the rear rack turned out to be more useful than I ever imagined.
The Surfboard
Which brings me to the best part.
The first time I loaded my longboard onto the trike and rode down toward the water, I felt something I hadn't felt in a while. Not excitement, exactly — something quieter than that. Something closer to I've still got this.
It's a strange thing to say about a trike. But the Three Wheels of Magic didn't just give me a new way to ride. It gave me back a part of my life I'd started to think was slowly slipping away. I can get to the beach. I can carry my board. I can spend the afternoon in the water and ride home under my own power.
That's not a product feature. That's freedom.
Would I Recommend It?
Without hesitation. If you're reading this and wondering whether a trike like this is worth it — whether it'll actually fit your life — I'd say just give it a shot. You might be surprised, the way I was, at how much it opens back up.
The ride is smooth. The machine is solid. The options make it yours. And the freedom? That part's yours too.
